In preparation for this blog there was some honest struggle. I sat for a long time with writers block wondering how in the world I would put this birth and the love I have for this family into words. I want to start at the beginning, the first time I met Mason's mommy, Brittany.

I first met  Brittany in college. We sat down a few desks over from one another, and out of nowhere this lady comes over and plops down behind Brittany, tapped Brittany on the shoulder, and asked her if she knew anything about the instructor. The lady then began to tell Brittney that she heard the instructor was terrible! As the lady spoke I began to get nervous about the class. Brittany told her she had heard nothing but good things! The lady very non-nonchalantly said, "Good!", jumps up, walks to the front of the classroom and begins teaching! Brittany and I looked at one another and died laughing! From that moment on we were friends and it was like we had known each other forever!

I've watched as she met the love of her life, Nick, and was blessed to photograph their Wedding. I have photographed her babies birthdays and so many precious moments in their lives. I can not say enough great things about this family. When we were preparing to meet up for another shoot  she sent me a text saying she had a little surprise.... I knew for sure, she must be expecting... And I was right!

Weeks went on and we just knew for sure that this baby would be a girl. I mean, with two little boys they were due for a girl right? God has a way of knowing just what we need, and he knew that the Noles family wouldn't be complete unless it was another little precious boy. Mr. Mason was unlike his brothers in the fact that he was in absolutely no hurry to get here :) Both of his brothers, Braxton and Lawson came somewhat early during pregnancy. Mason made us all hold on a tad bit longer, and on the morning of January 13th Brittany began her induction.

After waiting so long on his arrival, I think he decided to throw his family for a little loop and progress quickly! It seemed like at every single check, Brittany had dilated more than anyone expected! We all knew that it would only be a few more moments until his family met him for the first time.

What I love about being a birth photographer are the precious moments that can not be posed or anticipated. When Brittany pulled out her phone and began looking at little Mason's ultrasound photo, everyone crowded around and began discussing what they thought he would look like. Will he have hair?? How much will he weigh??

Brittany's husband Nick and her mother Cindy were in the room with her as she birthed Mason. There was of course plenty of love surrounding this little guy, and the moment he was seen for the first time was a priceless one. This is for sure the look of true, genuine love.

The moment Mason was handed to his mommy was amazing, and he was just as perfect as she knew he would be.

Mason arrived at 1:11pm  weighing 7lbs 9oz and was 20 and 1/4 inches long.

His brothers, along with the rest of his family, were so excited to meet him!

Thank you, Brittany and Nick for allowing me to document this amazing time in your lives. I adore your family, and am so honored to have been a part of Mason's Birth!
